Glass has been used in buildings all around the world to create innovative architectural designs which have undeniable impact. At Aquamark, we’re passionate about glass and its use in all kinds of buildings, and we’re looking at a different building every week to showcase these fabulous creations. Last week, we were in sunny Spain, looking at the stunning Selgas Cano architectural office in Madrid. This week, we’re cooling things down with a visit to Germany and the amazing Leonardo Glass Cube building.

A Stunning Landmark

Sitting just outside of Bad Driburg, this astounding glass cube building was designed for the meetings and events of the Glaskoch Corporation. The futuristic-looking interior comprises several presentation, seminar and meeting rooms, all designed in stunning white, while the fantastic exterior glass facade is covered by several curved structures which follow on to a puzzle map of paths leading to the entrance. The Perfect Building for a Glass Distributor!

Distributing glass products worldwide, Glaskoch have found a truly ideal home for their activities with the Leonardo Glass Cube! The fabulous building represents a celebration of glass and the wonderful structures it can create. The huge panes of glass used for the exterior reach six metres each and are fitted with disc springs to reduce stress caused by wind pressure.

With its stunning use of modern materials, the Leonardo Glass Cube building is more than just a building, it’s a work of art. The swooping white structures and sparkling glass panels look amazing, day or night, with the fabulous lights of the interior giving the building a beautiful glow in the dark.

How To Clean This Amazing Building

Because of the expanse of glass on this building (as well as the high standards of its occupants!), the surface of the exterior would need to be cleaned regularly for maximum effect. The low-level of the structure means that water fed poles would be the ideal choice for a sparkling finish with no drips or residue.
