When Aquamark Cleaning state that they will get a job done it’s not a sales pitch or an empty promise, it’s a genuine working ethic.
The production company responsible for staging the children’s show ‘In the Night Garden’ at London’s Brent Cross Shopping Centre saw Aquamark’s ‘can-do’ approach to contract cleaning and excellent customer service first-hand earlier this month.
“Let Down”
Aquamark Cleaning received an enquiry a few weeks before the performance to quote for a large job cleaning the unusual stage set. Aquamark Cleaning provided a competitive quote but did not hear back from the production company.
This is not unusual as many businesses often choose the contractor who offers the cheapest rate. This may save some money in the short term but the cheapest option is not always the best choice when it comes to providing a specialist service or for a complex job.
Two days before the stage show Aquamark Cleaning received a call from the show’s worried stage manager. The company had contracted the cheapest cleaners and had subsequently been let down.
In the Nick of Time
The stage set of the show is a series of three large domes that represent the fantasy garden landscape in which children’s favourite ‘In the Night Garden’ is set. Two of the domes are approximately 35ft high and the third taller at 45ft high.
Never a company to shy away from a challenge, Aquamark managed to source a scissor lift platform at the last minute and assigned a team of three workers to the unusual task of cleaning the giant domes. The team worked from 8am until 9pm and used water fed pole systems to pump de-ionised water from mobile tanks. Using the water fed pole system meant that the job could be completed without the use of any chemicals.
The Aquamark Cleaning team completed the job in the nick of time for the show’s first performance. The result; a very satisfied customer, a great sense of achievement for Aquamark for a last minute job well done and a clean and hygienic set fit for the public -as well as Iggle Piggle, Upsy Daisy, Macca Pacca and friends of course!
