Chelsea Waterfront

A mixed-use development in Chelsea, London, featuring two towers of 37 and 25 storeys and the refurbished Lots Road Power Station.

The current challenge we have faced is cleaning the windows that face the canal at the front of Lots Road. When the water goes into the canal, we have had to arrange a rescue boat for the abseilers to land into which will then bring the operatives back to dry land to carry out the next clean drop.

Why Aquamark?

The manager of Chelsea Waterfront has worked with Aquamark since 2008 and decided to bring Aquamark in to clean this new development over three years ago.

This is a true example of a longstanding relationship supporting a customer and creating a strong partnership.

Solution

A clean is carried out every three months using several different methods. Rope access is used for the majority of the site via the anchor pouints and davit arms.

A section of the development is cleaned via a 40m cherry picker and there is a whole building on site which is cleaned using the Water-Fed Pole system.
