In business, it’s vital to make sure the health of staff is protected, and all possible risks that could result in illness or injury are prevented.
Blocked gutters may not seem like something that could contribute to injury or accident risk, however left too long, they can cause damp within buildings. This can then contribute towards coughs and colds which could have staff off sick in no time. Cracks and leaks can also occur as a result of a build-up of debris, and this can cause unwanted costs for a business should it have to be evacuated whilst repairs are made.
Here at Aquamark, we’re conscious of your need to protect your business and recommended that your gutters should be thoroughly cleaned at least twice a year, to keep water flowing freely away from your premises and to stop any build up of debris. Whilst traditionally gutter cleansing has been seen as a time-consuming and painstaking process, the Omnipole GutterVac system used during our cleanses has really sped things up and created a safer way for the process to be completed.
How The Omni-Vac Works
When we begin your gutter cleanse, we take an Omni-Cam survey of your gutters to establish the requirements. This is done using a mini video camera attached to a pole, which can reach up to twenty metres. A recording of the survey, both before and after the clean, will show you the effects of our work.
After the video survey, we set up the gutter vac and begin the cleanse. The vac is made up of telescopic suction tubes which run along the length of the gutter to remove the debris which is clogging gutters and spouts. Made of a strong yet lightweight anodised aerospace alloy, the tube is able to clear away leaves, sticks, moss, mud and any other materials which may be clogging the gutters. A gutter spike is used to break through densely compacted soil – this is attached to the PowerPole pressure washing tool, which is used after the vac tube in the cleanse.
Gutter Cleaning: A Clean Finish with a Pressure Wash
After the vacuuming, the Omni Vac PowerPole pressure washing tool is used to clean the gutters and wash away any leftover materials. Specifically designed for safe washing at height, the high pressure wash can be used to clean out any number of gutters and tubes, even removing graffiti if needs be. After the wash, your gutters will be fully functioning and ready to channel water once more.
Can you afford to lose valuable man hours due to damp-induced sickness and to close your business down whilst leak or damp damage is repaired? Rather than take risks with your business, a full gutter cleanse is advisable at regular intervals to save time and money spent on repairs.
