Ever since Aquamark Cleaning was first established, we’ve cleaned a variety of buildings and structures.

Working extensively throughout London and the surrounding areas, we’re proud to say that many impressive glass properties have frequently featured in our cleaning portfolio.

So, this week, to give our customers a sneak peek into what’s involved in this type of structural clean, we thought we’d explore how Aquamark has tackled the cleaning of glass properties in the past.

Of course, as every building is different, we always work to devise an appropriate solution, which includes different access and cleaning methods.

Glass roofs

On one occasion, Aquamark cleaned a glass roof that notably had a four-storey drop directly below.

In order to negotiate our way around this somewhat tricky structure, Aquamark set up extensive scaffolding on behalf of our customer in order to allow us adequate access.

When it came to the cleaning of the glass itself, our chosen method was with conventional hand tools.

Glass façades

Another cleaning job took us to a striking glass exterior.

What was different in this instance was that the glass itself had a steel structure within it.

This helpfully enabled us to use the abseil access method for the purposes of achieving an overall deep clean.

Glass atriums

A project with the Police Federation led us to the task of cleaning a large glass atrium and roof.

Due to weight restrictions on the ground floor – there was an under floor heating system – Aquamark had to search for a specialist MEWP to get us up to the required height of the glass.
